Other Places to Get Coupons

  • Sunday Newspaper: If you don't have a weekly or Sunday subscription, ask family and friends to save theirs
  • Visit Each Products Website
  • Write to the company and tell they them how much you like their products. Not every company will send you coupons but some will. Many will send out coupons by "liking" them on Facebook
  • Many people sell their coupons for very little money. They collect Sunday newspapers and then sell the inserts. I have personally done this and got a ton of coupons for less than $10. The best place to buy coupons is Ebay I personally do the, Buy it Now coupons. I just search "coupons" and tons come up. I buy the inserts and pre cut coupons. Lots of people will send you the latest coupons in bulk the day after they come out. . I bought 20 inserts for $8.00 one time.
  • Sign up for products rewards programs. For example my family drinks lots of Coke products like Powerade and Cherry Coke. There are codes under the lids and boxes of the products. I enter them into the My Coke Rewards  site and I earn points. When I reach so many points I trade them in for coupons or FREE stuff! Pampers, Huggies, and other companies offers these types of incentives. Another great site for earning FREE stuff is Swagbucks
  • Craigslist: Crazy as it sounds, many people will give their coupons away for FREE if you look on Craigslist. *Beware of scams* and be extremely careful with this one
Tips to Saving Money
  • Make a List: Always make a list of what you need at the grocery store before you go. Walking into a store without a list is sure bet your going to spend more money than you plan. If you really have no time and need someone else to do it for you, the best option for you is The Grocery Game they tell you  everything that is one sale and have a list of all the store deals.
  • Plan your meals for the week: by already knowing what your going to make for the week you don't have a reason to buy other stuff you don't need, by planning your only buying what you need for your meals.
  • Track your spending: It's your money and you should know where it's going. Track what you spending each week. I keep a notebook of how much I spend every week and I try and lower each week. One time I only spent $25.00 for the week! This doesn't happen every week but it was nice to see my $375 a month budget go down for the month!
  • Set a budget and stick with it!
  • Shop ALONE ( if you can) bringing a spouse and/or children with you causes you to be distracted and buy more!
  • Shop full: Don't go to a grocery store on an empty stomach you will buy what your stomach is hungry for!
  • Recycle your glass, plastic, and cans! You pay a deposit in Connecticut when you purchase these, make sure you get it back! 24 water bottles is $1.20 return! After you add up all your cans, and bottles the money can add up!
  • Match Store coupons with Manufacture Coupons. Many stores will allow you to use 1 store coupon with 1 manufacture coupon. Read store's coupon policies first.
  • Stock up on Canned Goods and Nonperishable items: When I say stock up I don't mean go buy 95 toothpastes just because they are free, I mean canned goods and foods that last for a long time.  Its great when they have sales where you don't have to buy a product every week!
  • Shop once a Week: Don't go to the grocery store every few days to buy what you need, you will spend ten times more money.  Make a list, make a plan and a set day your going to shop.
Tips to Saving on Retail and Online Shopping
  • If you hate shopping in store and like shopping online, why not  get paid to do it! By going through Ebates you get paid to shop! Go you through the Ebates website, find the store you want to shop from, shop, and get a check sent to you! Ebates offers percentages back to customers after they have shopped with certain retailers. Its like an instant rebate! I have received many checks from Ebates. It is nice having money show up at your door!
  • Use coupon codes: these are codes you can find and enter at check out that will give an instant discount. Match clearance sales with coupons codes for an even better savings!
  • Refer friends: Many companies will send you coupons, or percentages off your purchases when you refer your friends. Swagbucks is a great source for this! Once you have 450 Swagbucks you can redeem them for Amazon gift cards and other great FREE merchandise. You can earn a ton of Swagbucks by referring your friends. I was able to do a large portion of my Christmas shopping from using Swagbucks
  • Don't pay for Shipping: Wait until their are coupon codes, or sales where they offer FREE shipping.
Disclaimer: I will do whatever I can do help you save money. Everyone will have different results on how much they save depending on the size and needs of your family. Every store's policy is different, make sure you read every store's coupon policy.
